- Duval County Public Schools will close Thursday. All activities and athletic events are canceled. Athletic events and activities scheduled for Friday and Saturday are not affected. Schools are closed Friday for Veterans Day.
- St. Johns County Schools will close Thursday. They will remain open with early dismissal on Wednesday but no after-school activities, events or athletics are planned. Schools are closed Friday for Veterans Day.
- Nassau County Schools will close Thursday for Nicole and Friday for Veterans Day. All after-school activities are canceled for Wednesday and Thursday.
- Clay County Schools will be closed Thursday for Nicole and Friday for Veterans Day.

- Public schools in Flagler County are closed Thursday, with early release Wednesday.
- Catholic schools in the Diocese of St. Augustine will close Thursday, with faculty and students returning to classes on Monday.
- Epsicopal School of Jacksonville‘s three campuses will be closed during the school day Thursday. School will resume as planned Friday, including all extracurricular activities and events.
- The University of North Florida canceled all classes and events, including online classes, for Thursday. Classes and offices are closed Friday for Veterans Day, but the campus will be open for activities and events.
- Florida State College at Jacksonville will close Thursday for the storm and Friday for Veterans Day. Classes will resume Saturday.
- All Jacksonville University learning sites will transition to remote operations and close to commuter traffic on Thursday.
- Nova Southeastern University in Jacksonville will close Wednesday and Thursday.
EVENTS
- The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair will close Wednesday and Thursday and reopen at 3 p.m. Friday.
- Jacksonville canceled the Veterans’ Day Parade and breakfast on Friday.
- Clay County canceled the Veterans’ Day celebration at the Camp Blanding Museum on Friday.
- The Joe Satriani concert scheduled for Wednesday at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is postponed. Ticket-holders should hold onto their tickets until a new date is confirmed. For those unable to attend the new date, refunds will be available at point of purchase.
- The Adam Sandler show scheduled for Thursday at The St. Augustine Amphitheater is rescheduled for Friday. All tickets will be honored for the new date, or refunds are available at the point of purchase.
- The Fortunate Youth concert scheduled for Thursday at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 15. All tickets will be honored for the new date, or refunds are available at the point of purchase.
- The St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall Box Offices will be closed Thursday. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Office will open at 10 a.m. Friday and can process refunds for both.
- The Law Enforcement K-9 Competition hosted by K9s United is moving from Saturday to Sunday. It will be 1 to 5 p.m. at Bishop Kenny High School.
ATTRACTIONS
- The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens will be closed to the public Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and will reopen Saturday. Check social media for updates.
- Fort Frederica National Monument on St. Simons Island will close to the public at noon Wednesday and remain closed through at least Friday. Updates will appear on the park’s Facebook page.
- The St. Johns River Water Management District will close all locks, campgrounds and properties, including trails and day-use areas, beginning Wednesday. Check the district’s website for the latest on reopenings.
GOVERNMENT AND SERVICES
- Garbage and recycling collection will be suspended Thursday in Jacksonville.
- St. Augustine will continue residential yard debris pickup on its normal schedule this week on Wednesday and operate additionally on Thursday. Residential recycling will not be collected this week but will resume Nov. 17 and 18.
- St. Johns County has suspended household garbage, recycling and yard debris collection on Thursday with normal service resuming Friday. The Tillman Ridge and Stratton Road Transfer Stations will also be closed Thursday.
- Waste Management announced this schedule for pickup in Northeast Florida:
- Nassau County: Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
- Baker County: Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
- Camden County: Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
- City of Jacksonville: Thursday customers will be serviced on Saturday, and Friday customers will be serviced as normal.
- City of Jacksonville Beach: Thursday garbage and yard waste customers will receive service on their next regularly scheduled collection day. Thursday recycling customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
- Clay County: Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
- St. Johns County: Thursday customers will be serviced on Saturday, and Friday customers will be serviced as normal.
- The Council on Aging in St. Augustine will close all senior centers and facilities on Wednesday and Thursday for Nicole and Friday for Veterans Day.
- The city of St. Augustine has cancelled the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Project S.W.I.N.G. on Friday.
- All St. Johns County government offices and facilities will close Wednesday and Thursday for the storm and Friday for Veterans Day.
- The Duval County Courthouse and the clerk’s Beaches branch will close Thursday for the storm and Friday for Veterans Day. All online foreclosure and tax deed auctions scheduled during the closure have been canceled.
- The St. Johns County Clerk of Court and Comptroller will be closed Wednesday and Thursday for Nicole and Friday for Veterans day. Court operations also are suspended Thursday and Friday.
- All St. Johns County Parks & Recreation parks and facilities will be closed Wednesday and Thursday until the storm passes.
- All St. Johns County libraries, bookmobiles and book drops will close Wednesday and Thursday. Libraries are closed Friday for Veterans Day.
- Jacksonville International Airport remains open, but airport officials are monitoring the storm. They advise contacting your airline for flight information.
- The Jacksonville Transportation Authority says buses will run on a Saturday schedule on Thursday, although service will be suspended completely if sustained winds reach 35 mph. Bus schedules should return to normal on Friday.
- The St. Johns River Ferry is closed through Thursday and should reopen Friday.
- The St. Johns County Council on Aging Sunshine Bus service will be suspended Thursday. Check the website for updates.
- The Florida Department of Health in Clay County will close Thursday and Friday.
