Fletcher High School student Tatum Matthews is only 17, but she’s already a seasoned actor and filmmaker. She previously starred in the CW’s The Waltons specials and the sci-fi thriller The Artifice Girl, and was honored as a “rising star” by the city of Jacksonville’s Film & Television Office. This weekend, her new short film, Would You Rather, is screening at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. (Best of luck to her!) Matthews wrote, directed and stars in the film, which explores themes of adolescence, friendship and trauma. Listen or watch her talk about the film on WJCT 89.9’s First Coast Connect.
