The last remaining Hooters restaurant in Jacksonville has permanently closed.
The lone location on San Jose Boulevard at Baymeadows Road posted a sign on the doors of the shuttered building that read, “Unfortunately we have closed permanently.”

Though the exact date of closure is unknown, an orange Public Health and Safety notice also posted on the building was dated Sept. 29.
As of Sunday, the location was still listed on the company’s website.
On Sept. 24, the San Jose location had posted on Instagram about a new menu item. It’s unclear why it abruptly shut down.
Hooters filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2025 to focus on restructuring the company, which included closing several locations across Florida and other states.
Previously, Jacksonville had Hooters locations at the Jacksonville Landing Downtown at at Tinseltown on the Southside.
