A dance party at Friendship Fountain, a salsa concert at the Cummer Museum, and a reading retreat in Callahan are What to Do this weekend.

Silent Disco At The Fountain

Saturday

Friendship Fountain | Downtown Jacksonville

Head over to the fountain for a Saturday night silent disco. If you’ve never been, that’s where you don a pair of wireless headphones and can dance the night away to whatever genre of music you choose, from contemporary pop, rap and R&B hits to nostalgic throwbacks  — all available on demand at the switch of your dial. Roughly 300 headphones will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis at this family-friendly event. Food trucks and an on-site bar will also be available throughout the night.

6 p.m. – 9 p.m. | 1015 Museum Circle | Free and open to the public | More info

Summer Concert with LPT

Saturday

Cummer Museum | Riverside

Jacksonville salsa band LPT is taking over the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens for a summer night performance — and this one is an all-weather event because it’s (mercifully) indoors. While the museum galleries will be closed for the evening, the Cummer Shop will remain open. Beer, wine, cocktails, and snacks will be available for purchase, and you can pre-order light bites from the Cummer Café by Friday, July 24, at 5 p.m.

Doors open at 5; music runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.| 829 Riverside Ave. | Tickets: $45 for members; $60 for non-members | Get your tickets.

‘Quiet Hours’ reading retreat & book exchange

Sunday

Tuscan Rose Vineyards | Callahan

Looking for a cozy way to escape the summer heat? Join fellow book lovers for a peaceful afternoon designed to help you unwind and connect without the pressure of forced networking. Bring a finished book to trade at the community swap table. Then settle into a comfortable chair for an hour of quiet reading together. Afterward, stick around to chat about your favorite reads and swap recommendations. The tasting room and wood-fired kitchen will be fully open, so you can treat yourself to a glass of wine and a fresh pizza while you hang out.

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. | 45884 Bismark Road, Callahan | Free, but an RSVP is required | More info
