If you thought you were the Jacksonville Symphony’s biggest fan, think again. An anonymous donor just gave the orchestra its largest gift ever: $15 million. The money will support the musicians and help the Symphony continue to make beautiful music and strengthen its impact on the city. The Symphony aims to focus on commissioning new work and partnering with composers of diverse backgrounds to bring a wide variety of music to Jacksonville. Board Chair Matthew Marcin says the donation is a “testament to the confidence in the Jacksonville Symphony, and we hope it inspires others to also make transformational gifts.”
