Witnesses provided a tag number that led police to Carolyn Bacon’s home. That’s where they found a car that appeared to have been involved in the incident.
Jail records show Bacon was charged with hit and run with serious injuries and evidence tampering.
The Sheriff’s Office says Bacon had been a school crossing guard since 2018. She resigned after she was arrested.
