Miller Electric opens EV design center in Jacksonville

In an effort to revolutionize the electric vehicle industry, Miller Electric Co. officially opened its new “Electric Vehicle Innovative Design Center” on Friday morning in Jacksonville.

It’s a move many officials say will change the future of transportation.

In a news release, Miller Electric said the center is the first of its kind in the country. It is designed so clients can test different chargers and vehicles; it will collect data on charging; and it will train EV technicians and engineers.

The facility also will have solar arrays to collect and store power for vehicle charging.
