This month, the Jacksonville Zoo is offering families a budget-friendly way to meet the city’s wildest residents. Through the end of August, children 12 and under get free admission — up to five kids per adult. So before school starts next week, it might be worth braving the heat to spend some time with the animals and explore the gardens. Plus, there are plenty of places around the zoo to cool down, like the splash park. Get tickets.
