Duval DOGE launches web page to track committee’s work

The Jacksonville City Council has launched a new web page dedicated to the efforts of its Duval DOGE Committee.

The web page offers information on the committee’s objectives, meetings and related documents. It’s appears on the City Council website at jacksonville.gov.

City Council member Ron Salem, who heads the Duval DOGE committee, said the committee was established to analyze recent growth in city departments and programs; evaluate services for potential savings; and consider implementing budget adjustments while being mindful of how service is affected.

In a news release, Salem said the web page was created to “ensure citizens have direct access to their government — allowing them to review, track and stay informed about the decision that impact their community on a bi-weekly basis.”

The committee held its second meeting this week. It will deliver a final report by June 23.
