The St. Johns River Ferry will resume service on Tuesday, Feb. 27, after service was suspended for three weeks for infrastructure improvements and scheduled maintenance. The preventative maintenance is meant to enhance customer safety and extend the Jean Ribault vessel’s service life, according to a news release from the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.

The completed infrastructure improvements include upgrades to the catwalk access at Fort George Island, updates to warehouse equipment and systems, improved signage, and approach slab replacement.
