A Walk on the Wild Side
MOCA | Downtown Jacksonville
The kickoff exhibition for what will be a year’s worth of programming in celebration of MOCA Jacksonville’s 100-year anniversary, A Walk on the Wild Side explores an undeniably fertile time (and place) in contemporary art: 1970’s New York City. The exhibition features works from the Norman E. Fisher Collection and others on loan from around the world, including pieces by Andy Warhol, Philip Glass, David Bowie, Yoko Ono and Robert Mapplethorpe. A Walk on the Wild Side opens Thursday, Jan. 18, and is on view until June 30. The museum is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m-4:30 p.m. More info.
