The Nest Coworking | Riverside
Local nonprofit FemArt Gallery presents this group show featuring nearly four-dozen works created by 22 female artists – including Alexis Williams, Amber Lee, Sonja King, Maya Matheison, Selahmon Jones and Susan Roberts Rosario. Billed as a celebration of the human form, an opening reception of Come As You Are is held on Saturday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at The Nest Coworking, 476 Riverside Ave., in Riverside. It’s free to attend. Underwire Collective Presents: Summer Crush!

Established in 2019 by St. Augustine locals Bianca Dawson and Kinsley Stewart, Underwire Collective uses music to put a spotlight on BIPOC femmes, trans and queer creatives. On Saturday, Underwire hosts its first in a series of music and art events they’re calling the Summer Crush Series, with a curated lineup of emerging Florida artists. Miami surf-rock band Haute Tension headlines, with support from Jacksonville’s own Bad Madonna and Central Florida’s Shine and the Shakers. Show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets and more here.

In this exclusive sneak peek at next season’s Jazz Series, Jacoby Symphony Hall is transformed into an intimate jazz club. James Jenkins, the Jax Symphony’s principal tubist, leads an ensemble of the organization’s best players, as they spotlight songs from Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones and Woody Herman.
