Jacksonville residents will have the chance Wednesday to learn about the status of parks and projects planned for development on the North and Southbank.

Multiple private and public development projects will be reviewed at a meeting where the public can ask questions.

Jacksonville’s riverfront transformation has been long-discussed. But the difference now, says Build Up Downtown Director Laura Edgecomb, is that plans have moved beyond renderings and they have momentum.

“And when we look at projects that are actually approved and that there’s funding and there’s groundbreaking, and it’s not just a bunch of pictures anymore, right? We actually have movement, we have timelines, we have movement forward,” Edgecomb said Monday on First Coast Connect with Melissa Ross.

“Riverfront 2025: A Look Ahead” will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Jacksonville Main Public Library Downtown.
