A historic 109-year-old Jacksonville landmark is taking on new life.

Work is underway to rehabilitate and renovate the former Union Terminal Warehouse at the heart of the city’s Eastside into workforce-affordable apartments plus artist studios, restaurants, retail and small office space.

With an estimated development cost of $72 million, the project by Columbia Ventures LLC of Atlanta is a significant step toward revitalizing the Eastside neighborhood near TIAA Bank Field as well as downtown Jacksonville, community leaders say.
