Thanks to Tropical Storm Nicole, voters have a few extra days to fix any problems with their ballots from the election.
Secretary of State Cord Byrd extended the deadline for voters in 45 counties to submit affidavits to “cure” signature issues. Voters who cast provisional ballots also have more time to present evidence about their eligibility.

The deadlines were delayed from 5 p.m. Thursday to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The extended deadlines include Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties.
