It’s become a weekend routine for many drivers: Find out which lanes are closed on the Buckman Bridge.
The Florida Department of Transportation has been replacing the structure’s steel joints. Lanes are frequently closed on weekends, impeding travel between Mandarin and Orange Park.

This weekend, it’ll be two northbound lanes that are closed, from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday.
The ramp from San Jose Boulevard to Interstate 295 North also will be closed, with detour signs posted.
Work on the bridge has sometimes caused miles-long backups. The only detours are 14 to 18 miles away via the Shands Bridge to the south or the Fuller Warren Bridge to the north.
