Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado
Friday and Saturday
Lewis Auditorium, Flagler College | St. Augustine
Step back into 1885 with the First Coast Opera production of The Mikado, a timeless comedic satire that has outlasted nearly every cultural trend, despite what Timotheé Chalamet says. Directed by Nelson Sheeley and conducted by Sean Stork, this performance features a stellar cast including Rachel Querreveld and Fran Daniel Laucerica. And arrive an hour early for a pre-show talk on the historical context of librettist Sir William Schwenck Gilbert’s clever jab at British society.

This is a free, drop-in style event with no RSVP required. You are also encouraged to bring Charlie Moses Brown pottery from your own collection to share and discuss; however, the curators cannot provide monetary appraisals.
