BEAM Thrift, operated by the nonprofit Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, was recently voted the best thrift store at the Beaches for the third year in a row by Ponte Vedra Recorder readers. BEAM CEO Jeff Winkler says the honor “tells us the community understands what makes BEAM Thrift different.” The shops are mostly staffed by volunteers, and proceeds support food and housing assistance for Beaches residents in need. See what all the fuss is about at one of BEAM’s three thrift stores: at 1147 1st Ave. S., 318 7th Ave. N. and 1110 Shetter Ave.
