Six students from Jacksonville’s Douglas Anderson School of the Arts are 2026 YoungArts honorees, joining the ranks of past winners including Marty Supreme star/rapper Timothée Chalamet. The prestigious national competition honors students who show incredible dedication and skill and have the potential for significant artistic growth. This year’s award winners from Douglas Anderson include:

  • Pianist Rory Ames,
  • Trombonist Ean Bricknell,
  • Tenor saxophone player Spencer Carnochan, and
  • Violinist Leila Warren.

And hip-hop dancer Eiana Claire Nova and actor Jayden Giselle Register are among just 10 Florida students named winners with distinction.

The honorees get cash prizes and the opportunity to represent Douglas Anderson at National YoungArts Week in Miami next month, where they’ll compete to be nominated U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts. Bravo!
