Severe weather delays Fat Tuesday’s return to Jacksonville

Citing severe weather and flooding, Fat Tuesday has postponed the opening date for its return to Jacksonville.

In an email Wednesday, the New Orleans-based chain announced that its side–by-side operations in Five Points would open Oct. 16, with a VIP event the night before. That is a week later than originally scheduled.

Fat Tuesday, which last operated in Jacksonville in 1997, plans to operate Fat Tuesday Kitchen & Bar at 1043 Park St. and Fat Tuesday Social Lounge at 1045 Park St.
