Jax Beach Summer Fest is back this weekend after a one-year hiatus, taking over the Seawalk Pavilion for three days of live music, food vendors, local business pop-ups, and a back-to-school supply drive to support local students. Things kick off Friday night with a Teacher & DCPS Appreciation Soiree, followed by a free, all-ages Beach Mini-Music & Community Fest on the main stage on Saturday. They wrap it all up with a Sunday brunch and church service.

Native plant walk with the Sierra Club

The Jacksonville Arboretum is teaming up with the Sierra Club for a guided morning walk focused on Florida’s native plants. Local experts will take you through the trails to highlight the species that support our local fauna and pollinators, along with practical tips on how to identify them and bring them into your own garden.

CatVideoFest 2026

CatVideoFest is taking over the big screen with 73 minutes of the internet’s best, funniest and sweetest cat videos. It’s a fun event for all ages, complete with cats up for adoption on-site courtesy of Animal Care and Protective Services, plus a display where kids can create and hang up their own CatVideoFest posters. Best of all, a portion of every ticket goes to support the Springfield Kitty Cat Shack Rescue.
