The Duval 4-H STEAM Club, a youth club that gives local kids an opportunity to develop their skills in science, technology, engineering, art and math, is on a mission to help students in food deserts grow their own food. The club has already given out hundreds of microgreen kits in areas with less access to fresh foods. The kits contain everything needed to harvest nutrient-dense, easy-to-grow microgreens. And they still have hundreds of kits available. Reach out at projectmicrogreens@gmail.com to request kits for your school or classroom.
