EverBank and the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship hosted the 2nd annual Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge on Friday, inviting Duval student entrepreneurs to face off in a Shark Tank-style competition. The participants got to pitch their business in front of judges who included EverBank executives and other community leaders. The winner was Sticky Lips Worldwide, a freeze-dried candy and snack business run by Joaquin Gasca, a senior at First Coast High School. Gasca will move on to the Southeast Regional semifinals in Miami next month. If he makes it to the finals in New York City, he’ll compete for $10,000.
