BIT OF JOY | Sea turtles released

Volunteers from the South Carolina Aquarium released five juvenile green sea turtles at Little Talbot Island in Jacksonville this week. The turtles, named Croissant, Eggs, Hydrangea, Marmalade and Snowdrop, were successfully rehabilitated at the aquarium in Charleston after suffering from cold stunning. The condition is caused by exposure to cold water and can lead to lethargy and buoyancy issues. The healthy turtles were brought down south to enjoy the warmer waters off our coast. Go, turtles, go!
