The Jacksonville Humane Society wants you to take a chance on love this Valentine’s Day weekend. Like dogs or cats but not sure you’re ready to commit? Take a homeless dog out on a “date” to allow them to get a little break from the shelter. They’ll come with a bag stuffed with treats, toys and other goodies to help make the most of your time together. (Shelter staff can set up a blind date with a potential cat of your dreams too.) From there, take it slow with a sleepover or adopt immediately. Plus, adoption fees will be reduced to $14 or less tomorrow through Monday. See more details.
