Five Northeast Florida organizations have scored grants from the VyStar Foundation, which awarded a total of $202,621 to 11 youth-focused nonprofits. The local recipients are:
- Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, to support families of Beaches students at risk of eviction or having utilities cut off
- The MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation, to prep teens for college and the workforce
- The DePaul School of Northeast Florida, for a multi-sensory playground for students with dyslexia
- The Travis Manion Foundation, for veteran-led youth mentorship
- And United Way of Northeast Florida, for health and mental health services for at-risk children and families.
