First Friday Art Walk and Third Space Improv
St. Augustine
The first weekend of the new year is a great time to head to Downtown St. Augustine if you’re a fan of local art or comedy. (And it’s not too late to see the Nights of Lights while you’re at it.) Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. is the monthly Art Walk, when more than 25 galleries along King, St. George, and Aviles streets, as well as in Uptown and on Anastasia Island, open their doors to showcase their traditional and contemporary offerings. Local and national artists are often on hand to answer questions about their work. This weekend also offers the opportunity to tickle your funny bone at St. Augustine’s Third Space Improv, offering shows on Friday and Saturday night that promise “the magic of improv in a supportive, collaborative atmosphere.” Tickets and more info.
