Affordable housing complex takes applications Downtown

A new affordable housing complex in Downtown Jacksonville is accepting applications.

The Lofts at Cathedral is pre-leasing units for the 120-unit complex on Duval Street in the Cathedral District.

The complex will offer offer studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. Residents are expected to start moving in in mid-September. 

The complex is 50% preleased, according to a report from the Jacksonville Daily Record, a Jacksonville Today news partner.

The project included a $5.45 million renovation of the former YWCA building at 325 E. Duval St. and new construction at 327 E. Duval St.

A portion of the units will be reserved for tenants earning up to 30%, 60% and 80% of the area median income. The remainder will be offered at market rate. 

Floor plans are viewable at loftsatcathedral.com. The complex is accepting applications at its temporary leasing office down the road at The Carling, Unit 104.
