At 90 years young, he can still shred, and he’ll take the stage and St. Augustine jazz club Chez L’Amour at 7 p.m. on Friday, alongside a group of Florida-based artists led by Lisa Kelly and JB Scott. 5 & Dime Presents: POTUS
Florida Ballet | Arlington
If the cheeky subheading for POTUS – a play by Selina Fillinger that debuted on Broadway in the spring of ‘22 – is any indication, the locally based 5 & Dime theatre company has a timely romp on its hands. On Friday and Saturday, 5 & Dime kicks off more than a half dozen performances of POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumba** are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive. The play, which The Washington Post compared to a mix of the West Wing satire Veep and Saturday Night Live, tracks the fallout of a PR nightmare set in motion by the president. Curtains up at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets and more info.
