A prominent Riverside building has been renamed Corner Lot Center.

Signs recognizing Corner Lot and the signature tenant Schutts & Bowen were installed atop the building on Friday, replacing the Summit Contracting Group Inc.

“We’ve been waiting for this moment since we purchased the property last summer. Seeing our name and logo overlooking the Jacksonville skyline during this moment in the City’s history is inspiring,” Andy Allen, Corner Lot CEO, said in a news release. “From the Jaguars making the playoffs to the resurgence of development in downtown, the momentum in Jacksonville is undeniable and we’re humbled to be part of the equation.”

A mid-century modern building designed by Architect Taylor Hardwick in 1963, the structure was acquired by Corner Lot in June 2022. Shortly later, the Florida law firm Shutts & Bowen selected Corner Lot Center as the site of its first Jacksonville headquarters.

The nine-story structure is also home to the River and Post Restaurant and Rooftop Bar as well as many professional services businesses.
