The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are changing their name! But don’t worry, Shrimp lovers, it’s only temporary. The minor league baseball team will celebrate the city’s Eastside this season by playing as the Honey Drippers over two weekends in May and August. The honey dripper, a sweet and fruity frozen treat, is a classic symbol of Jacksonville and particularly of the Eastside, where the team plays. On Honey Drippers weekends, players will proudly don a colorful new uniform and fans can enjoy free honey drippers at the stadium. Tickets for the special games, and for the rest of the season, go on sale Monday. And you can pre-order a Honey Drippers hat or shirt so you’re ready to rep the new team.
