Incumbent congressmen win reelection in Northeast Florida

Three Republican incumbents from Northeast Florida will return to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Rep. Aaron Bean beat Democrat LaShonda Holloway with about 57% of the vote in District 4. Bean, a Fernandina Beach resident, served 10 years as a state senator and eight as a state representative before his 2022 election to Congress in 2022.

In the District 5 race, former Jacksonville Sheriff John Rutherford defeated Democrat Jay McGovern with about 63% of the vote. Rutherford has served four terms in the House and was sheriff for 12 years. McGovern is a retired Navy helicopter pilot and commanding officer

In District 6, Michael Waltz, a colonel in the National Guard and a combat-decorated Green Beret, defeated Democrat James Stockton with 66% of the vote.
