Amplified Avondale 

St. Johns Avenue | Avondale 

Businesses along Avondale’s main drag, St. Johns Avenue, host a lineup of visual artists and local musicians for Friday’s Amplified Avondale. Among other artists, Root Sea, Souvineer, Groove Coalition, Kirk Whalen, DJ Excel and DJ Dr. Um perform at venues up and down the street, while Southern Grounds hosts a pop-up art gallery. 6-9 p.m. Free to attend (but grabbing a nosh and a drink at the venues is appreciated). Elysa Adams: Voices of Moncrief 

MOCA Jax | Downtown Jacksonville

Elysa Adams is the latest University of North Florida student-in-residence at the Museum of Contemporary Art, and her exhibition, Voices of Moncrief, is a multidisciplinary exploration of the printmaking, painting and drawing major’s own community in historic Northwest Jacksonville. The exhibit is on view through Sept. 8. The museum is open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is free on Saturdays thanks to VyStar Credit Union and on Friday for Jacksonville Public Library card holders. A Doll’s House, Part 2

Limelight Theatre | St. Augustine

Catch the closing weekend’s performances as St. Augustine’s venerable community theater stages a show that JaxPlays calls “essential viewing for anyone interested in the power of modern theater.” A Doll’s House, Part 2 tells the story of what happened after the final scene of Ibsen’s 1879 groundbreaking masterwork, A Doll’s House, when Nora Helmer made the shocking decision to leave her husband and children and begin a life on her own. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances: 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinee: 2 p.m. Tickets start at $25. More info.
