Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Venardos Circus

St. Augustine Amphitheatre | St. Augustine

A throwback to the circuses (circi?) of yore, Venardos is back for a limited run at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. Featuring thrill-seeking acrobats and aerialists, enthralling jugglers and beguiling magicians and tricksters, Venardos houses it all under one big tent. Multiple performances all weekend, including 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets and more information: vernadoscircus.com

Sunday

LPT X NYE

Underbelly | Downtown Jacksonville

For multiple years now, LPT — the mighty, Duval-based 10-piece salsa orchestra — has hosted one of the most exciting, and dance-heavy, NYE celebrations in the city. The group returns to Underbelly on Sunday, limiting tickets this year to yield more dance floor space to those who come to salsa. Tickets: underbellyjax.com

Sunday

City Of Jax NYE Fireworks

St. Johns River | Downtown Jacksonville

The city of Jacksonville’s Division of Sports & Entertainment is tasked, yearly, with illuminating the sky over the mighty St. Johns at the stroke of midnight. This year the sparks will fly overhead after being deployed from a barge parked on the river between the Hyatt and Doubletree hotels. More information: facebook.com
