Lenny Foster: In the Spirit of Lincolnville 

Crisp-Ellert Art Museum | Historic St. Augustine

An exhibition of new work by St. Augustine-based photographer and gallerist Lenny Foster exploring the cultural heritage of Lincolnville – the Oldest City’s historic Black neighborhood – will be on view at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum. On Friday, Foster will lead viewers on a walkthrough of the exhibition (5 p.m.), followed by an opening reception. The event is free and open to the public. Bonus: The event coincides with historic St. Augustine’s monthly First Friday Art Walk. More info.

Star Wars & More: The Music of John Williams 

Jacoby Symphony Hall | Downtown Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Symphony returns to the work of John Williams with three performances that hone in on the Academy award-winning composer’s scores from a “galaxy far, far away,” as the symphony will tackle works from all three films from the original Star Wars trilogy. Two performances on Friday (11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.) and one on Saturday (7:30 p.m.). Tickets and more.

Jacksonville PorchFest 

Various Addresses | Springfield 

The ninth annual Jacksonville PorchFest kicks off at noon on Saturday, with a dozen or so porches and a main stage in the historic Downtown-adjacent enclave of Springfield. New Orleans funk group Water Seed and Duval hip-hop collective L.O.V.E. Culture get top billing in a lineup of nearly two dozen local and regional acts.
