A Democrat has joined the race to try to succeed term-limited state Sen. Travis Hutson, R-St. Augustine, in 2024.
St. Augustine Democrat George Anthony “T” Hill II opened a campaign account this week to run in Senate District 7, which is made up of St. Johns, Flagler, Putnam and part of Volusia counties, according to the state Division of Elections website.

Hill joined House Appropriations Chairman Tom Leek, R-Ormond Beach, and Ponte Vedra Beach Republican Gerald James, who opened campaign accounts earlier. Leek had raised $317,600 for his account as of April 30, a finance report shows.,
