It’s an all-day festival with live music, food, vendors, and craft beer right on the river. Rock the Dock is a great way to support the local music scene while soaking up the sun.

Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park hosts an afternoon dedicated to the fashion, music and history of LaVilla. What better way to celebrate Black History Month than on a site with such a massive legacy? The park is located on the very ground where the Johnson brothers’ home once stood, the place where the “Black National Anthem” was written. The family-friendly event features oral and visual storytelling from local artists and longtime LaVilla voices alongside live performances and a fashion showcase. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to support Black-owned businesses with vendors set up throughout the park. Bring a blanket or some folding chairs and enjoy the good weather while celebrating the creative spirit that defines this historic neighborhood.

Mandarin Museum front lawn | Mandarin
The Mandarin Museum and the North Florida Folk Network host their monthly acoustic music jam on the front lawn of Walter Jones Historical Park. The event is for you, whether you want to join the song circle and play a traditional acoustic instrument or just listen under the historic oak canopy. They even encourage local artists to come out and paint while the music plays. If you’re just there for the vibes, bring a blanket or lawn chair. And while you’re there, the Mandarin Museum and the 1898-era St. Joseph’s Schoolhouse for African American Children will be open to visitors.
