Matanzas Innlet, a St. Augustine restaurant damaged by Hurricane Matthew in 2016, is advancing plans to rebuild at its former location.

The restaurant’s ownership began the St. Johns County permitting process more than a year ago and returned Oct. 23 with a new preapplication and revised site plan for the property at 8805 State Road A1A S.
