Filipino Pride Day in Arlington, the St. Augustine Greek Festival and Veg Fest in Springfield are What to Do in the Jacksonville area this weekend.

Filipino Pride Day Festival

Saturday

College Park Shopping Center | Arlington

Celebrate Filipino American History Month at the annual Filipino Pride Day Cultural Festival. It’s a day of amazing traditional food (Lumpia! Halo Halo! Yum), fashion, games and folk dance performances. Plus, local Filipino American artists will be performing live music all afternoon.

10 a.m. – 7 p.m. | 903 University Blvd. N. | Free and open to the public | More info

St. Augustine Greek Festival

Saturday – Sunday

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church | St. Augustine

The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church grounds transform into a fun neighborhood block party with authentic cuisine, from moussaka to baklava. You can even preorder takeout pans of pastitsio and spanakopita to bring home for dinner. (This is amazing, I wish every fest had this option!) There’s more than food, of course. Browse Greek gifts at the Agora market, listen to live music and watch traditional folk dancing. Some parking is available on site, with a free shuttle running to and from Murray Middle School.

Saturday 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. | 2940 County Road 214, St. Augustine | Free and open to the public, but please leave pets at home | More info

Jax Veg Fest

Sunday

Sesquicentennial Park | Springfield

Jax Veg Fest is a celebration of environmental awareness, animal advocacy — and, of course, vegan food! Relax on the grass under the shade trees of Sesquicentennial Park while enjoying live music all day long. Around 30 local vendors will be set up offering delicious plant-based bites as well as goods for sale. I will definitely be there; it’s an absolute favorite! The event is family-friendly and animal-companion-friendly.

11 a.m. – 5 p.m. | 1527 N. Main St. | Free and open to the public | More info
