The Jacksonville Armada will have to pay full market price for land planned for its Downtown stadium, the city of Jacksonville informed the team Sept. 22.
That decision came after the soccer club failed to develop the land at 1034 Albert St. Under an agreement with the city in which the club received 6.56 acres for $1, the club had until Sept. 1, 2026, to reach “substantial completion” of the property.

According to the letter sent by the city, the team can have the property appraised itself. The Duval County Property Appraiser valued the land at $132,018 in 2026.
