The commotion is already beginning this week as Jacksonville prepares for one of the hottest rivalries in college football: the annual Florida-Georgia game at EverBank Stadium.
The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for the 102nd edition of the game.

The Southeastern Conference matchup has been held in Jacksonville since 1933, with only two exceptions, making it one of the few remaining neutral-site rivalries in college football.
Fans of the Gators — the home team this year — will sit on the west side of the stadium, with the Bulldogs on the other side.
Activities will occur all week:
- RV City opened Tuesday in Lot E, just southeast of the stadium in Lot E. It was sold out long before its gates rolled back.
- The Jacksonville Transportation Authority will host a free “Trips for Treats” event from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with free rides on its autonomous NAVI people mover along the Northbank. Dress up in a Halloween costume to get a free ride at all 12 stops along Bay Street and Gator Bowl Boulevard as JTA staff hand out candy.
- The Florida Georgia Hall of Fame Ceremony is set for 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. The 2025 inductee class includes Gator alumni Brandon James and Todd Johnson, and the Bulldogs’ Freddie Gilbert and Sony Michel.
- Winn-Dixie will host two aerial drone light shows at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Friday over the Sports Complex near EverBank Stadium and RV City. Each 10-minute drone show includes hundreds of synchronized drones soaring to music and visuals honoring Winn-Dixie’s 100-year history.

Florida-Georgia game day
On game day, JTA will run its Gameday Xpress shuttle service from various sites in the city from 12:30 p.m. until 90 minutes after the game.
Fans can use the Kings Avenue Parking Garage in San Marco and Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Downtown campus to grab the shuttles. There also are three suburban Park-N-Ride lots in Jacksonville Beach, Southside and Mandarin.

New this year for people at remote parking lots is the Geico Game Day Shuttle Program.
The free shuttle will take fans to and from Lot S, Lot X, Lot Z and Metropolitan Park. The shuttle service will be available for three hours before kickoff and one hour after the end of the game.
Stadium parking lots will open at 8 a.m. All parking is pre-sold, and all spots are sold out, game officials said. Fans with prepaid spots should hang their parking tags prominently as they approach the stadium.
EverBank Stadium gates will open at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid long lines.
Once the estimated 70,000 fans arrive, entry into the stadium will be pretty much automated, from security to ticketing, city officials said.
“There will be magnetometers in place, enabling fans to walk through carrying their clear bag, and leaving their cellphone and keys in their pockets,” the city said in a news release. “After entering, fans will then proceed to the self-scan ticket kiosks to have their mobile tickets scanned.”
With renovations underway at EverBank Stadium, fans are encouraged to use the ramp closest to their entry gate for direct access to the main and upper concourses and enter the stadium when gates open at 1:30 p.m.”
Fans inside will encounter the first public component of the renovation: Grand Staircase One in the southwest corner, the first of four large staircases with direct access to the Fan Entertainment Zone in the Flex Field.

- The city will set up multiple Information and first aid zones at the stadium on Saturday, with basic medical help, first aid, cellphone chargers, transportation information, directions, wate, and more. The zones will be at Lot E, Lot P (two sites) and Lot X, as well as across from VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena at A. Philip Randolph Boulevard and Duval Street.

After this year
The Florida-Georgia Game will be played elsewhere in 2026 and 2027 during the renovation of EverBank Stadium.
The 2026 matchup is set for Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The 2027 game will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
The EverBank Stadium renovation is supposed to be done before the 2028 NFL season.
