Jacksonville Symphony Opening Night
Friday and Saturday
Jacoby Symphony Hall | Jacksonville
I love an opening night, don’t you? This weekend the Jacksonville Symphony kicks off its new season with a program performed by Principal Clarinet player Giovanni Bertoni that moves from Copland’s jazz-inspired Clarinet Concerto to Joel Thompson’s uplifting To See the Sky. The evening ends to the tune of Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5, a stirring work that celebrates resilience and the human spirit.
