BIT OF JOY | JU art highlighted in award-winning documentary

A 9-minute documentary about the glowing glass obelisk erected in front of Jacksonville University in 2023 has won four 2025 Telly Awards. The Telly Awards recognize the best work in television and video, with more than 13,000 entries globally this year. Alex Willemin, chair of JU’s Media Arts Department, produced the short, Obelisk: Jacksonville University’s Love Letter to Arlington, to chronicle the vision and collaboration behind the piece by artist Shan Shan Sheng. Watch the award-winning documentary.
