The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is bringing back its annual Summer at the Cummer series to help you beat the heat and keep the whole family entertained on Friday nights. The next four Fridays will offer live music, hands-on activities, games and plenty of art. From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. you can explore the museum and gardens for free, and grab some food and drinks to have a picnic by the river. This Friday, Chillakaya and Yale Dray will perform, and you can participate in a weaving demonstration by the Jacksonville Weavers’ Guild. Here’s what else is in store:
- June 6: Pride Month celebration with River City Pride and music by Freddy for Peace and Scott Greenway
- June 13: Gullah Geechee storytelling and musical experience with Anastasia Ketchen and music by Akia Uwanda and Jesabel
- June 20: Music by The Rip Currents and Arvid Smith
