A team of students from Ponte Vedra High School recently placed 5th in the nation at the World Affairs Councils of America’s Academic WorldQuest National Competition in Washington, D.C. The prestigious annual competition brings together some of the brightest young minds from across the country to test their knowledge of global affairs. The Ponte Vedra team, called Shooting for the Stars, earned their spot on the national stage by winning the local Academic WorldQuest competition hosted by the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville this spring. Led by teacher and coach Brandy Killian, the students spent months preparing for the event, mastering topics from cybersecurity to global trade.
