Catch a night of genre-bending music this Friday as the Jacksonville Music Experience Soundstage Series welcomes Ghost Funk Orchestra. The New York-based psychedelic-soul collective led by composer and multi-instrumentalist Seth Applebaum blends psych rock, jazz, and funk into an original, cinematic sound. Their latest album, A Trip to the Moon, has cemented their place as a must-see live act.

Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival

Head to Fernandina Beach this weekend for the 60th Annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival. It’s a beloved coastal tradition packed with fun for all ages: live music, a kids’ fun zone, fine arts and crafts, antique treasures, and, of course, plenty of shrimp. Local chefs will also be serving up all kinds of seafood specialties, so come hungry and ready to explore.
