The thieves smashed through multiple doors and ransacking offices, according to videos posted by head football coach Mike Holloway on Facebook. One video shows an empty shelf where cleats donated by the Jacksonville Jaguars were stolen, Holloway says. Then Holloway shows a ransacked training room with open drawers as he talks about the damage.

“Came through, ran through all this stuff, man. It’s sad. I sure would like to know who did this,” the coach says as he shoots video of the damage.

Terry Parker High School in Arlington fields dozens of student sports from bowling and cross country track to swimming and football. The football field and field house are on the east side of the campus, backing up to Lansdowne Drive.

Duval County Schools officials did not release any information about the thefts or grant interview requests. Spokesperson Laureen Ricks said only that “the school is very appreciative of the outpouring of support they’ve received from the community.” The district did not release the school police report requested by Jacksonville Today as of Tuesday afternoon.

Holloway posted about what he saw stolen as he walked through the ransacked field house, one door taken off its hinges, others with smashed and cracked locks.

“We were vandalized and they broke into our field house and softball rooms,” he posted. “I understand the headsets, but our push sleds, 85-inch smart board LG flat & 55-inch, took 25 helmets. But when you take footballs that were old and out of air, the pettiness must be at all time high!! Guess what – we still practicing!!! Go BRAVES.”

Parker alumni flooded social media with reaction to the thefts. Some posted warnings to look for the stolen items, like matte black helmets, to be resold.
