Jacksonville-born-and-bred soccer player Avery Patterson made her debut on the national stage Saturday with the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team. Patterson grew up playing for Florida Elite Soccer Academy in St. Johns County and graduated from Bolles, where she played for the varsity team. Now, along with playing for a pro team in Houston, she’s representing the country in international soccer matches, and helped team U.S.A. beat Brazil on Saturday. Way to make Duval proud!
