Shad Khan’s company buys Downtown fairgrounds

Iguana Investments Florida LLC, a development company owned by Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan, bought two Downtown properties from the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Association last week for $15.12 million.

The combined site north of VyStar Ballpark and northwest of EverBank Stadium has been the home of the fair since 1990.  Miller Electric Center, the Jaguars practice facility and offices, is adjacent to the east.

The fair is preparing to move to West Jacksonville. Iguana says it plans are to use the property for parking at Jaguars games and other events.
