On Friday evening, audience favorites from the latest season of the monthly Bab’s Lab Story Slam series face off in a Grand Slam competition. Each will craft a narrative performance around the theme of “bubbles” and perform their eight-minute piece (no notes) for the audience and three guest judges. Both a winner and an audience favorite will be crowned. Reception at 7:15 p.m. Slam starts at 8. Tickets: $18. More info.

Intuition Anniversary Celebration
Intuition Ale Works | Downtown Jacksonville
Intuition Ale Works celebrates 14 years of brewing beer – and putting on great concerts – in Jacksonville with a free afternoon show featuring Jax country singer-songwriter Rambler Kane and the Trampled By Turtles’ guitarist/singer-songwriter Dave Simonett. Later in the evening, popular Athens Americana outfit Futurebirds return to the Bier Hall for a ticketed show. Doors for the afternoon show open at noon (performances start at 1 p.m.). Doors for Futurebirds: 7 p.m. Parker Gispert opens the show. More info.

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday behind us (as well as Last-Try Tuesday and We-Didn’t-Make-Our-Sales-Goals Wednesday), MOCA Jacksonville will host an all-local mini-market offering up gifts made by Duval-based artists and creators. It’s a great opportunity to shop small, support local, etc. – especially if you missed Small Business Saturday. The market is from noon-4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in the museum lobby. Spanish Brass
St. Paul’s By-The-Sea Episcopal Church | Jacksonville Beach
The dynamic, internationally renowned and enduring ensemble Spanish Brass returns to Jacksonville, performing as part of the Beaches Fine Arts Series for the the third time. Famous for blending Flamenco stylings from their native Spain with other styles, the group will bring their fusion to Sunday’s Holiday-themed program. Show starts at 4 p.m. It’s free to attend. As always, a performer meet-and-greet and reception follows the program. And an exhibit of bespoke clothing from local artist Michael Armanno will be on view at the reception. More info.
